Creators, Makers, and Doers: Museum of Broken Relationships
Posted on 3/9/16 by Arts & History
The Department of Arts & History selected MING Studios as a grant recipient for its project to host the Museum of Broken Relationships international traveling exhibit in February 2016. This exhibit included contributions of “ruins and mementos of failed relationships” from those along each stop of its itinerary. Museum curators from Croatia selected and integrated objects donated in Boise and to be added to the permanent collection.
Jason Morales founded MING Studios in 2014 with a mission to “exhibit, explore, and experience contemporary arts and cultures.” The space has already made a big impression in Boise and invigorated the cultural landscape. It earned a Mayor’s Award for Excellence in Arts & History in 2015 for an Emerging Organization.
Creators, Makers, and Doers highlights the lives and work of Boise artists and creative individuals. Selected profiles focus on individuals whose work has been supported by the Boise City Dept. of Arts & History.
