This sculpture resembles a large dandelion seed head in the act of dispersal. The dandelion has a rich history in folklore and mythology - long associated with air, telling time, telling fortunes, and forecasting the weather. A native species, Agoseris Glauca is known as the Mountain Dandelion. The artist made reference to the dandelion symbol being associated with air by using the Greek word for air (Aero) in the title of the work.
