As part of the integrated design for Valley Regional Transit’s Main Street Station, four unique floor medallions mark key bus entry points. Each medallion reflects a distinct Idaho landscape—river, foothills, high desert, and mountains—through imagery of local geography, wildlife, and outdoor recreation. Embedded metal icons represent regional transportation themes: a float tube for the Boise River, a mountain bike for the foothills, a horse in the high desert, and a cross-country skier in the mountains. Color palettes echo Valley Regional Transit’s branding, tying the medallions visually to the broader station environment. Together with vibrant waterjet-cut awning panels located just outside the bus bay doors, these artworks serve both aesthetic and functional purposes—helping guide transit users through the station while celebrating Idaho’s natural beauty and culture.
