"Crossroads of Boise" consists of two bronze medallions embedded in the sidewalk, each featuring inlaid national flowers that represent the diverse cultures shaping Boise’s community. One medallion highlights the Idaho Syringa, Congolese Yellow Trumpet, and Japanese Chrysanthemum, while the other showcases the Chinese Plum Blossom, Mexican Dahlia, and Basque Eguzkilore. Together, these flowers symbolize unity, resilience, and the interwoven histories of Boise’s multicultural population. The piece honors immigrant and cultural minority communities, many of whom have faced displacement due to urban renewal projects, celebrating their contributions to the city’s past, present, and future. Located near Kaixo Corner, a space dedicated to cultural diversity, this artwork extends a welcoming hand to all who call Boise home.
