As McKenna Howard walks to her office on Boise State university campus, she will often pass the sculpture “Transference Constructed” located outside of the Environmental Research Building. The sculpture, created by Ken McCall and Leslie Dixon, interprets Boise’s unparalleled municipal geothermal system and celebrates a shared commitment to the continued development and research of geothermal energy at BSU. By featuring iconic Boise landmarks heated by this system, the design will show the breadth of geothermal impact downtown. Howard's daily life as a Boise State graphic designer is impacted by the geothermal heating buildings across campus, "I am so thankful for Boise’s commitment to this sustainable heat system."
