When approaching my work, I am constantly inspired by Mother Nature’s color palette and the simplicity of natural objects. Basic shapes are transformed into a repeating pattern, while I play with colors and different mediums along the way from the blurred lines of watercolors to the deep indigo blue and white negative space of cyanotype photography. Something as basic as a leaf or a dashed line starts the creative process. Once I manipulate with color, size and repetition - it can become a modern, abstract, graphic piece of art taking on a life of its own.
