Glenn Oakley is a photographer, filmmaker, writer and musician whose work frequently explores the relationship between people and nature. A three-time winner of the Banff Mountain Photo Competition, he has shot feature stories for Smithsonian, Sunset, Outside, Life and Time, as well as advertising shoots for Sierra, LL Bean, Yakima, Giant Bikes and Dagger. A former contributing editor to High Country News, he has written and photographed several books, including Frommer’s Bed & Breakfast Guide to New England, Frommer's B&B Guide to the Rocky Mountains, Wolf! The San Luis Valley: Sand Dunes & Sandhill Cranes and Snake: The Plain and It's People. His work with NBCNews.com on the multimedia project, In Plain Sight, garnered a Peabody Award.
