Igniting memories and flooding senses is the fuel behind Cassie Phippen's work. Photography has served as her primary medium to capture these moments. Phippen's goal for the viewer is to get lost in looking - to create imagery that requires a second or even third inspection. She wants to create work that pushed the boundaries of the preconceived perception of the familiar in both nature and in the human form while finding beauty in the unexpected.
