Point of Origin is a large-scale sculpture created in 1978 by Los Angeles artist John Mason. Composed of three painted steel rectangles placed at varying angles from one another, the piece makes use of sunlight and shadow to affect the open space that surrounds it. Originally installed in front of Boise City Hall, the sculpture was taken down and relocated to the Boise Art Museum lawn in the early 1990s.
