"Portal" explores the evolving relationship between form and space. Composed from a single band of bronze, the sculpture reflects the principles of Chaos Theory—where small, initial conditions shape increasingly complex systems. As the band wraps a simple form, it begins to respond to its own intersections, creating new nodes and pathways. Once the original structure is removed, what remains is a record of growth, movement, and transformation. Originally positioned to face the foothills, "Portal" was later reoriented due to streetscape changes. It now faces east and west, aligning with the rising and setting sun—a shift that echoes the work’s themes of change and evolving context.
