A frozen gesture in metal, "Razor Sharp and Fast" traces the arcs, spins, and speed of ice skaters in motion. Curved steel lines sweep across the wall of Idaho IceWorld like tracks etched in ice, intersecting at points marked by illuminated medallions—symbolic nodes of community and connection. These intersections come alive with color and light. Triggered by occupancy sensors, hidden LEDs shift the sculpture from stillness to brilliance, echoing the first rush of movement on a rink. Each medallion reveals layers of meaning—ice crystals, shared paths, and fleeting encounters—reminding us that even in the cold, we are never alone.
