Inspired by the City of Trees, the four “Transitions” sculptures represent abstracted depictions of trees transitioning through Boise’s four distinct seasons. Each sculpture stands nearly 13 feet high and includes unique, kinetic elements that move as the wind blows. The four sculptures are designed to stand out from their surroundings. Bright colors and gentle wind derived movements are intended to be a welcoming gateway to the City of Boise as well as attract attention to produce a momentary “wow” reaction of enjoyment and curiosity.
