I use photography to tell stories about human nature and visual culture. I rely heavily on the still life genre and use inanimate objects as characters on stage to play out narratives. I am inspired by the complexity of human relationships, often drawing on the emotional life of those around me. I’ve learned that while I make certain conscious choices when creating a still life, my intuition is always present and that ultimately, the work tells my own story. My aesthetic fluctuates between minimalist and maximalist compositions and reflects a love of novelty, humor, and all things miniature.
