Viva La Causa, is about the Chicano Movement and United Farm Workers movement taking place during 1965-1975. These movements brought to light the racial discrimination/inequalities Mexican-Americans were experiencing. The United States at that time kept them in a cycle of extreme poverty that very few could get out of. This movement sought to better their lives economically, socially, politically, and culturally. Though this movement was successful the Mexican-American community and migrant farm workers still continue to face racial discrimination. This is a reminder of what was fought for and what we will continue to fight for. One banner is located at the Erma Hayman House while the other two are located at the Boise Public Library.
