Jess Wagner is an artist currently residing in Boise, Idaho. Growing up in Buffalo, New York up until she was 20 years old when she left her familiar life for the wild and open spaces of Wyoming. Entering a life of seasonal work and wanderlust, living anywhere from Arizona to Alaska. Inspired by our public lands and the West, typical subjects include recognizable landscapes, wildflowers, fungi and mountain ranges. Reminiscent of the west and all that it entails. From flora to fungi, to its mountain peaks and alpine lakes. Jess conveys these elements primarily through painting and draws inspiration from her time spent in the West. This particular piece was inspired by her time spent in her new home- spending much of 2020 among the wildflowers and dusty trails of the Boise Foothills with her deaf cattle dog, Tanana.
