A weathered steel beam from the World Trade Center rests within polished stainless steel rings—lifted, supported, and reimagined. Together, they form a quiet monument to tragedy and resilience, grief and unity. Nearby, a large steel plate engraved with the names of the 9/11 first responders honors those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Set within a plaza of radiating concrete bands and reflective steel, this memorial connects with the Idaho Fallen Firefighters Memorial—two places of remembrance, joined in spirit. Like ripples in a pond, their stories echo outward, reminding us that courage binds us all. Set within concentric bands that ripple from the Idaho Fallen Firefighters Memorial, this space unites both tributes—reminding us that courage and sacrifice connect us all, like ripples in a pond.
