Beginning summer 2017, the Boise City Department of Arts & History will host a discussion series focused on Boise history, a companion to the ever-popular Fettuccine Forum lectures. The group will meet monthly and focus on a different aspect of the city’s history.
August’s featured works continue to focus on the Boise River and include:
- Tom & Julia Davis: “Some Good Place” by Susan M. Stacy
- “1890-1917 Boise gets Julia Davis Park” by J. M. Neil, in Idaho Yesterdays 46, No. 1
- River by Design: Essays on the Boise River 1915-2015 edited by Todd Shallat and Colleen Brennan, “Float, Paddle, and Surf” chapter
Arts & History will provide light refreshments, and digital copies of some materials are available, if necessary. Contact the Department for assistance. Registration not required.
