The effortlessly charismatic Brian Quijada (from last season’s No More Sad Things) brings you a one-of-a-kind experience pulsing with Latin rhythms, rap, hip hop, spoken word, and live looping. During a third grade lesson on the Civil Rights movement and Rosa Parks, a Latino boy raises his hand to ask, “Where did we sit on the bus?” and his teacher can’t answer the question. This thrilling autobiographical project examines what it means to be Latino through the eyes of a child, turned teenager, turned adult.
Contains some strong language. Recommended for ages 12 and up.
The play runs Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8 pm with 2 pm matinees on the last two Saturdays. The first Thursday is Preview, and the first Friday is Opening Night.
The first Saturday, Jan. 7, and the first Wednesday, Jan. 11, are Pay-What-You-Want general admission Previews; tickets for those nights can only be purchased at the door.
