Filmfort presents Cinema for Cultural Diversity, a free summer screening series taking place First Thursdays. The Cinema for Cultural Diversity Screen Filming & Discussion Series offers both short and feature length documentary and narrative films from around the globe, with the presence of filmmakers at each screening.
On July 6, the series will be showing the film Fighting For Life. Fighting for Life —who some refer to as the MASH of our times— captures the experiences of military doctors, nurses, and medics in the Iraq War; wounded soldiers and military; and students training to become career military physicians.
Dr. William Weppner from the Boise Veterans Affairs Medical Center will provide an introduction and discuss local providers’ experiences working with veterans. Q&A with the filmmaker follows the screening.
