Are you ready for another slam-o-rama? The Even Stevens Slam (now fondly named THE SAMMO SLAMMO) is back once more! Plus, as fate would have it, the second Wednesday of February is Valentine's Day, so everyone is more than welcome to bring love poems, hate poems, poems of indifference, poems about how those heart candies are probably super bad for your real heart... whatever floats your February boat! 

The rules are same as it ever was: sign-ups open at 6:30, and the slam will start at 7:00. Two rounds, 3 minute 10 second time limit (don't be the rat bastard who ruins it for everyone). Ten poets in the second round, five with the highest scores in the second round. Top three earn points towards finals in April, and fun season-appropriate prizes! 

And in case you weren't there for the first Sammo Slammo: there will be a "word of the day" announced before the first round begins. If you incorporate that word into your poem on the mic, you earn 1 whole extra point!
