Idaho Dance Theatre's (IDT’s) 30th Anniversary performance Celebrate brings together an array of past and present IDT dancers and choreographers in a highly entertaining performance of diverse choreography and music.
IDT alum and Off Center Dance (OCD) founder, Kelli Brown, will perform a new flamenco piece including featured IDT dancers. Katie Ponozzo, also an alum and current Artistic Director of OCD, premieres a collaborative work with IDT and OCD based on the four seasons.
Get ready to twist and twirl with Kennedy Kaya’s “Uncle Sam” celebrating the post-war era with music by Sam Cooke, The Andrews Sisters, and Frank Sinatra.
Taylor Munson will premiere a jazz/contemporary-style piece that follow two lovers who are on different pages when it comes to the idea of marriage.
Marla Hansen presents Homespun performed to contemporary bluegrass music. This dance evocative in its imagery: shares a flirtatious encounter, a poignant pas de deux of unending love, a summer rain shower, and the sheer joy of life in a simpler time.
Don’t miss the return of Gonzalo Valdez and Selby Jenkins to the IDT stage, along with all our other great dancers: Yurek Hansen, Taylor Munson, Sabrina Barbic, Taylorann Evans, Kylie Dimick, Kennedy Kaya, Rachel Ranum, Lem Reagan, Alex Bounyavong, and new comers Antonio Carnell and Julen Barini-Brown.
