You may know of Arthur Hart as a columnist for the Idaho Statesman, writing weekly about local history since 1970; he has published close to 1000 articles on Idaho history and has written 20 books about Idaho and Western history. 

Mr. Hart is also an artist and preservation advocate. His artwork tells the story of time and place through mixed media, showcasing unusual finds from the archives of the Idaho Statesman and elsewhere.

Please take a moment to learn more about his work by checking out the Arts & History-sponsored exhibit “Life in Old Boise: Artworks by Arthur A. Hart” on the third floor of City Hall, across from the Mayor’s Office.
