Broad Street Festival Block Public Art Presentation & Public Input Session

Join the Boise City Department of Arts & History and MING Studios in welcoming BJ Krivanek of Krivanek+Breux/ Art+Design, the artist team selected to develop a public art project for the Central Addition’s Broad Street Festival Block. The evening will include a presentation and Q&A session with Krivanek, who will cover the team's past works, design process, and allow for public input on the design development.
Krivanek+Breaux/ Art+Design is comprised of public artists and designers BJ Krivanek and Joel Breaux. Their backgrounds as artists, designers and educators---grounded by work experience in a large architecture office---forms the basis for their unique capability---the vision to create and implement comprehensive, multifaceted public art programs in the urban environment. Their recent public art projects---funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, the Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department, Phoenix Office of Arts+Culture, the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and various foundations---create communication infrastructures, to provide a public voice for urban communities.
