Grant Writing 101

Join us for two sessions on grant writing geared towards non-profit organizations.

Join us for two workshops covering the following:
March 9, 1-4:30 p.m. - Grant Writing 101: Introductory session on grant writing, covering: getting to know your organization and the resources that you need; planning and researching; cultivating relationships; and, additional resources.
March 16, 1-4:30 p.m. - Grant Writing 102: This session will build on Grant Writing 101, covering: successful proposal ideas and checklists; managing the grant writing process; writing a proposal; and, additional resources.
These grant writing sessions will focus on using an arts organization as the example. The demonstrated principles apply to any non-profit organization. Classwork will focus on small to mid-sized foundations and will not cover applying for State or Federal grants.
About Kyrsten Bell
Kyrsten Bell, CFRE, is the president of a small grant writing consulting firm. Having raised over $5 million from state, company, and family grantmakers, she knows what it takes to get funded. As a former development director of the Boise Philharmonic and a one-man non-profit serving the blind, Kyrsten has a deep understanding of the challenges that nonprofits face. Over the last 20 years she's worked in the trenches with hundreds of nonprofit organizations to improve their capacity to raise funds.
Location & Registration
The Grant Writing Workshops will take place in the William F. Hayes Memorial Auditorium on the first floor of the Main Library. Registration is limited to 50 people per class.
