Public Art Learning Series

Ever wondered what it takes to be a public artist? We invite members of the creative community to join us for Level Up! Going Public, a four-part professional development series offered to local artists aspiring to gain insight into the public art process and become impactful leaders in climate action.

About this event

On Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., at the The Keith and Catherine Stein Luminary (1110 S Capitol Blvd, Boise, ID 83725), attend a dynamic panel discussion with members of Boise State University's ArtSci community located within the College of Arts and Sciences. Explore innovative ways to collaborate across professions and learn how art can amplify larger goals and values within these fields.

In addition to the panel, participants will be invited to tour the Keith and Catherine Stein Luminary, participate in interactive activities, and learn about upcoming Public Works Public Art artist calls.

Professional artists of all disciplines and experience levels are welcome! Admission is FREE, but registration is required. Light refreshments will be served. Level Up! Going Public: Leveraging Cross-Professional Collaboration is an in-person event. The talk will be recorded and made available on YouTube.

About Boise State's ArtSci Community

We are an interdisciplinary platform for inquiry and innovation. Arts and sciences are typically viewed as separate disciplines, yet share a foundation in discovery and innovation. Here, scholars from both disciplines benefit from enhanced communication, critical thinking, and potential for transdisciplinary and transformative products.

This multifaceted group offers students and faculty diverse opportunities to engage in art/science integration and to broaden their impact. Through a set of Vertically Integrated Projects (VIPs), an art-science identifying group of faculty and students, and campus-wide events, this community prepares students for an ever-changing and complex world.
