This double bill of Puccini’s operatic genius, Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi offers a compelling blend of drama and comedy. Suor Angelica delves into a poignant story of secrets, loss, and redemption. In contrast, Gianni Schicchi brings laughter with its clever plot of scandal and wit, inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy.
The casts features members of Opera Idaho's Children's Choruses, professional opera singers (local and visiting!), and the orchestra is comprised of local and regional musicians. Led by Opera Idaho's Principal Conductor, Maestro Andy Anderson and welcome for her Opera Idaho debut, Stage Director Frances Rabalais.
