Mid-Night's Summer Dream is a 58"x58" oil on canvas painting by Boise artist Shannon Sutch. Created in 1995, the painting depicts a series of faces and silhouettes, as well as the storefront of the Ford Drug Store once located on 10th and Main Streets. It joined the Boise Visual Chronicle's collection of paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, and other works depicting life in Boise in 1996.

Artist Statement: My intent is to create images that form questions regarding the "untangible objects" in our personal lives. These objects (i.e., love, sorrow, dignity) are the root of the questions. The "tangible objects" in the images are metaphors for personal pondering and grow from the untangible root to become the flower or thorn and reveal the superficial identity of borrowed questions.

The Boise Visual Chronicle (BVC) a city-owned collection of paintings, drawings, prints, photographs and other works depicting life in Boise.
