Grove Street Illuminated & Boise Canal
The formal three circles of the sculpture reference the cycles of change that have taken place on Grove Street. Each circle has a set of images that represent that particular cycle of change, but those images also refer back to the canal that ran open along Grove Street in the late 1800’s. The fabricated manhole covers mark the axis in which the canal passes underfoot.
