Spanish Village; Jesus Urquides
The Urquides family was part of a Mexican American and Basque community that significantly contributed to establishing the city of Boise and the State of Idaho through their contributions of specific, well-honed Mexican techniques to carry provisions over rugged trails, to remote mining camps. The Urquides Village functioned for decades as a residence, both temporary and permanent, for Mexican American settlers and frontiersmen in Idaho.
