The James Castle House is thrilled to announce, Echoes of Home: Community-Owned James Castle Works, an exhibition featuring over 30 James Castle original artworks loaned or donated from Boise community members. Opening on Thursday, November 20, and on view through May 2026, this exhibition highlights the powerful bond between Castle’s art and the people who choose to make it part of their lives.
For decades, Boise collectors have been drawn to Castle’s enigmatic and evocative creations; works that speak to a profound sense of place and personal meaning. Featuring pieces from some of these private local collections, Echoes of Home reveals the diverse range of Castle’s work that finds its way into Boise homes and into the hearts of those who cherish it. Each artwork is paired with a short statement from its collector, offering insight into what drew them to the piece, how it became part of their lives, and what experiences James Castle’s art continues to evoke.
Join us at the James Castle House (5015 Eugene St., Boise) for an opening reception on Thursday, November 20, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. This event is free and open to all.
Echoes of Home is made possible thanks to the generous contributions of loaned and donated artworks from the private collections of Jim and Ariel Agenbroad, Cate Brigden, Eve and Thomas Chandler, Clark and Sydney Fidler, James Gilles, Deborah Hardee, the Higgins Family, Melissa Martin, Kenneth McCulloch, Andrea Merrell, Lisa and John Pisano, and Laura Rasmussen.
