A selection panel will meet, review applications and choose up to three artists who will be paid $750 to create site-specific design proposals for artwork. The finalists selected from the pool of applicants will identify the exact site in Idaho Ice World where they propose their work to be installed. Examples of sites to consider are in the entrance lobby, public locker room areas, ice rinks, or public meeting room. Finalists will propose the scope of their project based on their medium and what can be done with available budget. The art could be a sculpture, murals, suspended mobile, mixed media, architecturally integrated public artwork or other artwork. Proposals will be put on public view at Idaho Ice World, receive public comment, and the panel will reconvene to select the work to commission.
