Professional Development Workshop Series Continues

BOISE, ID- The Boise City Department of Arts & History announces a series of free artists' professional development workshops for winter and spring 2011.
Workshops include:

• February 23 -Developing a Web Presence for Performing Artists: An Overview ~ Mike Chambers
• March 9 - Videography & Sound Recording Methods for Artists & Performers ~ Ron Garnys & Steve Fulton ( @  VAC)
• March 23 - Music Marketing in the Modern Era ~ Matthew Stringer
• April 6 - Getting a Recording Contract  & Other Music Career Strategies ~ Matthew Stringer
• May 4 -The Business of Booking your Music Performance  ~ Panel discussion with Tony Harrison (Perfect Pitch Artists), Sam Stimpert (VAC), & Eric Gilbert (Finn Riggins)
• May 18 - Legal issues for Artists ~ Bill Frazier

Workshops, with the exception of March 9, will all be held at the Idaho State Historical Society's Old Penitentiary (2445 Old Penitentiary Road, Boise) from 5:30pm-7:00pm. The March 9 workshop will be at the Visual Arts Collective (3638 Osage St., Garden City) also from 5:30pm-7:00pm.
