Nationally-Acclaimed Public Artist, Noris Sato VIsits Boise

Boise-The public is invited to attend a public presentation by Seattle-based public artist Norie Sato. She will present images of past public artworks and discuss her current Boise project making art for Pioneer Corridor. Sato is the public artist on the Walker-Macy design team, selected through the Pioneer Corridor design competition in 2000. Artists interested in making art for the public realm are especially encouraged to attend as this is an opportunity to see Sato's work and ask questions of one of the nation's most accomplished public artists.

Sato's work can be found in Phoenix, Portland, Salt Lake City, Seattle and other destinations across the country. Her work appears in airports, on large-scale transit art projects, libraries, university campuses and in other civic contexts.

The Pioneer Corridor is a community vision to reconnect downtown and the Boise River through redeveloping a historic walkway and the River Street neighborhood it passes through. The Corridor vision includes better bicycle and pedestrian connectivity, new mixed-use residential redevelopment and celebration of the neighborhood's cultural history.
Capital City Development Corporation's (CCDC) efforts to advance the Pioneer
