And The Beat Goes On: Music as a Boise Legacy

Boise, ID -- Music. It is one of the most powerful, emotional
influences we have as humans. The Treasure Valley has a rich
history of contributing to both the national and international
tapestry of music. Kevin Moran will moderate a panel of local music
professionals who will discuss the past, current, and future
of what the Boise music scene has to offer. Panelists include Ali
Ward, Eric Gilbert, Tim Johnstone, Steve Fulton, and Todd
Dunnigan.
Biography: Kevin Moran is the Music Director at the local community radio station, Radio Boise, KRBX 89.9 & 93.5 FM (downtown). His past work experience includes positions as a record company executive, music publisher, artist manager, and film music supervisor. Today, Kevin is focused on accelerating the momentum of the local music scene by building and nurturing relationships within and outside of our local community. Kevin is also producing a CD compilation of local musicians for BOISE 150, which will be available for purchase this Summer.

First Thursdays throughout the academic year. This year's topics
supports support Boise's Sesquicentennial (BOISE 150) themes. More
