Collections Management Restoration

The Boise Public Art Collection serves as a tangible expression of value and pride within the community, with over 1,000 pieces ranging from large, site specific sculptures and murals to smaller, portable artworks. Once acquired, these works are displayed in locations such as:

  • Boise City Hall and City Hall West
  • All five Boise Public Library branches
  • Boise Airport
  • Boise WaterShed
  • Foothills Learning Center
  • James Castle House
  • Erma Hayman House
  • Fort Boise Community Center
  • Several parks, street corners, bus stops, and other public spaces

The Collection Management team provides ongoing maintenance of these pieces, reflecting the city's commitment to honoring these expressions of community value. We provide year-round care to ensure the artworks' preservation, including monitoring display and storage conditions, assessing the integrity of materials, maintaining documentation, and conducting necessary repairs. This commitment ensures both the safety of the artwork and public access, allowing the community to engage with the collection for years to come. Learn more about the Public Art Collection.
